Dr. Richard M. Hilker DPM, PC, FACFAS
Dr. Hilker was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is a Podiatrist specializing in foot surgery. He has been in practice for the past 41 years.
He graduated from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, Illinois in 1982. He received post-graduate training in South Bend, Indiana and started his private practice in Fort Wayne in 1985. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and has served as a North Trustee of the Association. He has attended post-graduate training programs at the University of Texas Health and Science Center at San Antonio, Texas. and the Texas Diabetic Institute and the Podiatry Institute in Decatur, Georgia. He has privileges at all Fort Wayne area hospitals and performs surgeries and admits patients at all hospitals.
He had advance training at the "Ilizarov Training Course" for foot and ankle injuries and disorders in Kurgan, Russia. He was given the recognition of "Teacher of the Year" by the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program for his teaching and encouragement of students and residents.
